Day 7 St Remy to Bedoin
Today can only be described as an epic day on the bike.

The ride then took us on a sightseeing tour of stunning Provence via Menerbes, Lacoste, Bonnieux and Roussillon.

Lunch was at a restaurant in Murs where we met up with Dylan, Megan and Yuko and made the decision to extend the ride so we could do the fabulous Gorges de la Nesque. Mont Ventoux dominates every landscape view looking ominously huge - we are riding up it on Tuesday after a rest day.

It was a windy day so the descent down the gorges was dehydratingly challenging, but definitely a ride that just had to be done.

I was knackered by the time we got to the hotel but very happy after such an amazing day on the bike.
It started with a flattish ride to Cavaillon where James met us for coffee having procured the eagerly anticipated Tartes tropezienne, a cream filled brioche named by Brigitte Bardot while she was filming ‘And God Created Woman’ in St Tropez. It was delicious and dramatic as we narrowly missed being smacked by a parasol blown over in the wind.

Dinner was at Megan and Dylan’s house with local Provençal yummy food in a gorgeous setting.
Have I mentioned how much I am loving this trip?!
